A Connected Neighborhood in Nature
Finca MiraVida is more than land — it’s the beginning of a new way of living.
A place where families come together to build a supportive, respectful, and free neighborhood in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica.
Each family owns their own legal piece of land — 1 to 5 hectares, titled in their name — with the freedom to create their home, their garden, and their dream life.
We live side by side, not on top of each other — close enough to share laughter, help, and friendship, yet with the space to breathe, create, and live independently.
Raising Our Children Together
Our children are at the heart of everything we do.
We dream of giving them what so many modern places have lost — freedom, safety, and a deep connection to the natural world.
At Finca MiraVida, kids can grow up exploring the jungle, watching monkeys in the trees, helping in the garden, and swimming in the river. They learn not only from school but from life itself — through real experiences, animals, and community.
Together, we plan to organize shared transport to a nearby private school, and over time, build our own nature-inspired learning space here at the finca.
We imagine playgrounds shaded by trees, shared art projects, and children learning in an environment that values creativity, empathy, and curiosity.
We want our kids to know what it feels like to have best friends living just around the corner — and to grow up in a safe, loving environment surrounded by people who care for them as much as their own parents do.

Living Simply and Supporting Each Other
Life here is guided by simplicity and natural abundance.
We grow what we can, share what we want, and respect what others create.
Each family manages their own land and projects, but we support each other in practical and heartfelt ways — from exchanging fruits, vegetables, and handmade goods to lending a hand when someone needs help.
We don’t believe in forced sharing or sacrifice — only in genuine cooperation, where giving and receiving come from joy, not obligation.
As we grow, we aim to become increasingly self-sufficient, with gardens, orchards, and small-scale food forests feeding our families.
We also plan to have shared gardens for herbs, fruits, and children’s projects — a way to stay connected to the earth and to each other.
Living Guidelines
To protect the peaceful, family-centered atmosphere of Finca MiraVida, we’ve created a few clear and respectful guidelines that keep life here in harmony:

Build your home within the first two years of purchase — the land is meant for residential living, not commercial development. (A few guesthouses are fine, of course.)

No alcohol or drugs during shared gatherings or around children. Ideally, keep intoxicants away completely.

We encourage open and honest communication for resolving conflicts — no gossip, no drama.

There may be shared costs in the future for things that benefit everyone — like playgrounds, road maintenance, or security at the entrance — but nothing regular or fixed. Any contribution will always be discussed and agreed upon together.

Respect and responsibility for all children is shared among us. Their well-being and freedom are our highest priority.

Communal areas stay child-friendly and substance-free.

Short-term guests are welcome — as long as they honor our neighborhood rules and values.

A few Airbnb-style rentals are fine, but kept limited to preserve the quiet, residential feeling.
We don’t want to over-regulate — just enough structure to keep things peaceful, safe, and respectful for everyone.
Creating Something Sustainable and Real
We are not building a “community” in the usual sense — we are building a neighborhood with heart.
A place where independence and connection coexist, where nature is part of daily life, and where children grow up wild and free.
We are creating shared spaces step by step — a barbecue and fire area, an open gathering space for celebrations, small markets, or exchanging goods, as well as a playground and maybe even a little football field.
The land already offers enough space for beautiful shared projects, and we know it will naturally grow and evolve with the ideas and creativity of the people who join.
Everyone here has direct access to the river and the waterfall, a place to cool down, play, or simply enjoy the sounds of nature.
The goal is not to create luxury — it’s to create meaning, joy, and true connection.
We believe that real wealth is found in friendship, health, freedom, and the beauty of life in nature around us.
Our Long-Term Vision
In the years ahead, Finca MiraVida will continue to grow and evolve — welcoming more families who share the same vision of balance, kindness, and freedom.
We imagine a thriving neighborhood full of life, gardens, laughter, learning, and mutual support.
Over time, new shared spaces and projects will naturally develop — from play areas and creative corners for children to beautiful spots for gathering, celebrating, or simply enjoying the land together.
As more families arrive with their own skills, ideas, and passions, the finca will become a vibrant reflection of all who live here.
Through this collaboration, we hope to create something lasting — a neighborhood where respect, nature, and true connection form the foundation of everyday life.
